Re: Surgery

My wife had her's done and it was a fast surgery. A few tiny incisions and it was over. Hang in there it is a really perfected procedure.

My best to your wife and we wish her a speedy recovery!

Re: Surgery

My wife had her's ot 2 years ago and it went very smoothly. This is a very common simple surgery. But like you said, surgery is surgery and any cutting of the body assumes a risk. But I always am amazed at how our body can survive with less organs than we were given. My wife has both her appendix and gallbladder out. I always made fun of her before her surgery because I said "look at it this way, when you have problems in the future, there is a better chance of a diagnosis because you have less organs."

In all seriousness, prayers being sent your way. Should be a routine, simple surgery for your wife.

Re: Surgery

I had mine out in April, It was simple as can be, Doc said no fishing for two weeks, That hurt worse than the incisicions.

A few small holes and you are in and out in a matter of hours. I am wishing the best but tell her to rest assured it is nothing.

Re: Surgery

I'm glad it worked out. Now we wish her a speedy recovery! Since the gall bladder is gone - she will have to watch certain foods (greasy) .... they will be "expedited" through her system.

It is good to try eating greasy stuff at home first, my sister can not eat anything greasy without an "epidsode". Myself, no problems at all

Re: Surgery

Yeah, greasy, fatty foods may end up not agreeing with her anymore. My wife can no longer eat that type of food with out tasting and seeing it for a second time.:^
