I have twin 225 optis on a 2895 triton. Coming back from the stream last week, running @ 4000 rpms the port motor started surging from 3000 to 4000 rpms when under load when I would hit a swell. I tried to accelerate during this surging and the motor would not respond. I checked the engine mounted fuel filter and it appears to be ok. This boat has another set of fuel filter/separators in the transom compartment @ the primer bulbs. Should this setup have two filters/separators in the fuel line like this or could this starve the motor for fuel and be the culprit of my surging problem? The motor was also idling while trolling about 100 rpms lower than ther starboard engine. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks, stuman
