Re: suzuki 140 stall ?

this may sound silly BUT how good of shape is the battery in? have you tried a different battery? I had a odd hard starting, crappy idle situation with my Johnson 70 (Suzuki DF70 in white) this spring caused by a bad battery. I sounded like it was turning over good but the voltage was to low while cranking to allow the Computer to fire the Fuel injectors properly while cranking. And when it did start it ran funny at idle because the battery was sucking up all the alternator current at idle causing it to run rough do to the injectors cutting in and out. I pulled my hair for about 2 hours checking Filters, spark, compression, and the Vapor canister before I check the battery and seen 10.5V across the terminals! 1 bad cell still allowed the engine to turn over good but didn't Supply enough voltage for the CPU to operate properly.

Re: suzuki 140 stall ?

could be fuel pressure related.
check your low pressure fuel pumps. when was the last time they were serviced?

like stated above there may be a fuel problem there could be a problem in the high or low pressure pump due to ethonal in the fuel we own a brand new suzuki when ethonel came out it was a 115 hp the ethonal in the fuel reaked havac on the high pressure fuel pump and also ate up the inside of the tank the motor had only 20 hours and ended up having the whole motor replaced under factory warrenty so make sure that the tank is ethanol fuel approved because pump gas on the street as 10 percent ethanol and marina fuel does not have any ethonal
