suzuki 9.9

i came across a almost new suzuki 9.9 for a very good price and i'm thinking about buying it. i just took an older 15 hp motor off (broke) and was wondering if a 9.9 would have enough power to push a 1436 jon boat just to river fish. any opinions would be appreciated

Hi.
I dont know what motor you are replacing but if it was a Merc or OMC you pobably wont notice too much difference. The 9.9 Suzuki should be good.
