I started my 140 after a couple of months of not using it (using fresh gasoline), it ran for 3-4 minutes then stalled. I attempted to restart, it cranked over, could hear fuel pump running, getting spark to all 4 plugs, but would not start. Mechanic (here in Panama) says he cannot use computer to diagnose unless it is running. He thinks it is the computer that is defective and it looking for one to borrow to test his theory. Any one have any ideas?

Re: Suzuki DF140 no start, cranks, has spark

I have the same problem with my 2003 Suzuki DF 115 (I only have 270 Hr.) but my "check engine" ligtht goes on 3 times, it beeps and it goes on 2 more times than the cycle repeats. I will get my Suzuki manual this week but my dealer told me that 32 error in the manual is MAP 2 sensor (manifold absolute pressure). Working for a japanese company for 8 years I know they will not always give you the right info.
I looked at the sensor and it is a bit corroded. I am afraid that the sensor is OK and that there is something else triggering the problem. Could be the injectors because my motor was not used in 2 to 3 months.
Being new to this, I would like to get any input from good experienced people.
My motor was never worked on and I can not move the boat from the lake for now.
Any help would be apreciated.
Thank you.

langdonb,

Check the fuel pressure at the injector rail.
