Checked oil in crankcase and it was way over full. Started it and ran for a while, checked it again and still too full. Pretty sure I did not overfill last change that much. I drained 1/2 qt out, it is 10W40 so it is thin to start with. I could not detect a strong smell of gasoline in the oil. Could it be gasoline? How can I tell if it is gasoline, put a match to it, would it burn?
Can a fuel injected engine leak fuel into the cylinders which then goes by the rings into the crankcase?
Got me scratching my head!!
I am going to change it anyway.

A New engine? Pre 20hr First Service?

It was the norm in my 140A. Break in procedure is kind of Tame, the Rings and Valve Guides are not seated yet. Open it up a couple of times (don't be shy) for short periods. Mine hasn't made any oil since the 20hr service and it is nearing the 50hr tell tale on the tach.
