I have a 2000 Suzuki DT200EFI that is not peeing well. Only a drop or 2 before I loose my nerve and kill the engine. I have removed the impeller and it looks fine. The passage from the impeller up seems fine as I pushed water through it with no problem. However with the motor running I don't get any stream. Any thoughts? Many thanks.

Are you running in the water or external water supply?

I am running with a baffle. I have the horizontal hole duct taped, and a baffle on the verticle intake. This setup seems to work fine on the other engine (it is a twin). You think I have somthing wrong here?

make sure your water pump housing is not cracked or something .... otherwise make sure the impellar is the right way around .... if it is a twin one of them are counter rotated right? ......

Thanks for the response. I didn't really check the housing for cracks. I believe the impeller only goes on one way. only one side of it has a slot for the key on the shaft. I am not sure how to change it. I will check the housing. Thanks again.

This may sound crazy but my 2003 df140's do this every year. When I take the cowling off to change the oil I must over tighten it when I put it back on and it cuts off the hose. I found it by mistake when I leaned on the cover to look behind the engine and sure enough it started pee'ing! I loosened the cowling a hair and they both pee like crazy. Give it a ahot
