I have a 1989 DT55 which pulls hard to one side when using the T&T in the down position but improves slighty as it is lifted a little but far from perfect. It has stablizer fins on it which I'm not sure if that is the problem or not. There is a tab just above the propeller which has been moved both directions with no luck. I purchased this rig 1 year ago but because of this motor problem it hasn't been used much. Would there be somone who could please help me with this issue? It would be much appreciated. Thank-you

well either your motor have been mounted off centre at the back or your trim tab needs some adjusting, or you have a bent skeg .....

Re: Suzuki DT55 Pulls To One Side!

What size and what style of boat Ex: CC or side console ???? I had a 16' fiberglass boat that had stabilizer fins on it. It had side steering and with just me in the boat, it would pull horribly to the right (steering wheel side). What was happening was that with just me in the boat , the boat would lean to that side and the fin would dig in to the water really cranking the boat to that side. My solution was to remove the Doelfins from the boat. another possibility is a "hooked" hull causing the boat to pull.

I have a 1989 Lund 1700 ProV aluminum fishing boat with the Suzuki DT55 tiller. What do you mean by a "hooked" hull?

Usually happens to fiberglass boats. The hull will either set with a bend or a depression in the bottom and it can cause different sorts of handling problems.
