Suzuki lower unit removal question? 2013, 115hp

I'm going to have to pay some serious idiot tax for not filling my lower unit correctly. Besides the bolts under the plate, do I need to disconnect the shift lever in some specific way? I'm assuming it needs to be in Neutral? Thanks!
