Suzuki or Mercury

I need a motor and have the choice of a 140hp 1984 Suzuki, or a late 80's 115HP Mercury. Both have tilt/trim. Same price. Any opinions or advice? I'm mounting it to an 18' Trihull. Thanks

At that age I would make the decision based on condition, not make.

If brand were a major issue,I would most likely choose the Mercury.

Both motors your looking at are 20 years old so I`d bet on Mecury to be the choice I`d make. Parts availibility and dealer service I think would be easier to find for Mercury. Take note that this is under the assumption that both motors are in equal condition.
Neither motor is better than the other as far as brand goes.
