Hi there, I have a Suzuki S1500 prop 11 1/4 x 15 (I believe suitable for 4 stroke 40/50hp suzuki outboards) which i picked up for a next to nothing. Perfect condition.
I have tried to fit it to my 1977 Evinrude 55 and can get it on most of the way but not the last inch or so on to the shaft. Question is can i get it any further on somehow? Can I just leave it on with a gap at the rear? or should I sell it and put the money towards a prop meant for my Evinrude? The prop on my 55 is proper (get it) worn down.

Thanks
Al

Re: Suzuki prop on an Evinrude?

1. BIG hammer, it'll fit, once
2. Not if you want it to function correctly
3. Absolutely, nothing beats having the correct prop

Bonus Answer: Have the current (get it?) prop rebuilt ... ;)
