Suzuki Tachometer

I have a 2004 DF115 motor runs good but my tachometer isn't working. When I turn it on the 4 sensor lights turn on and my buzzer sounds off but when I start the motor it's not marking any rpms. I don't want to run my boat without it working. What should I check first?

yellow wire in back of tach pluged in ?then check for voltage no volts with engine running bad tach.
