Have a great 76' 135 with a weak tnt. Also have a blown 93' 120 with a great tnt. So, getting ready to put the 135 on the stratos and looking at the 2 tnt's i cannot see how to swap em. Is it possible? Looks like i need to remove the shift rod and swap the bracket but dont think they match up. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

I also want to use the steering mechanism since the 120 has 2 cables and the 135 only has 1. So any thoughts? Would pics help?

Re: Swap johnson tnt

You'd have to swap the swivel bracket from the 120 onto the 135, along with all the 120 trim transom parts. Not so sure the 120 swivel bracket will swap onto a vintage 135. The key will be the diameter, spline count and length of the two brackets. You'll need to install the trim electrical box someplace, and there may not be room under the cowling, since you've got the bubble back exhaust and the power pack rack at the rear of the 135 engine. The 135 trim system, while odd looking, works fairly well. You might be better off to put some $ into it.
