swaped motor, gauge and shut off issues

Hi i did a motor swap i had a 85 Yamaha 200etxk and i changed to a 200etxf, now the volt gauge gets no power and the tach does not reed. But the oil lights in it work good and the alarms are good. I can not figure out what wires on the motor and where they are that reed the tach. Also when i shut the key off, the motor wills stay running for about 5 seconds sometimes more.


Any help please

double check all grounds both on the engine and under the dash.
both engines used the same rigging so something is not connected properly.

ok, ill take a look around, im not sure where the grounds are on the engine though.

ok well i looked at it some more, im still not sure about what grounds i may not have connected right, its all multi wire plugs that go one way... I did notice when i shut the key off and the engine still runs, the tach starts working.

also i pulled the kill switch lanyard out and nothing happend, engine stayed running.
