Swaping Quadrajet with Edelbrock Marine 1409 on New 5.7 Long Block Need Advice

i have two fuel tanks in my boat which means i need two fuel pumps.

Naw,.... Ya mount 1 fuel pump by the motor, 'n plumb each tank to the fuel pump, through the selector valve,......

I had read that these low pressure electric fuel pumps aren't great at pulling and need to be mounted as close to the tanks as possible. Realistically the longest run from the fuel pump would be maybe 4-5 feet.

I believe that is for high output fuel injection pumps.

Ayuh,..... 'n generally speakin', especially when the boat is in the water, the tank is uphill from the fuel pump,......

Once the system is primed, it takes greater effort for the pump to overcome the anti-siphon valve, than to move the fuel downhill,......
