Swaping remote controls will it work?

Hello all
I need to find a replacement remote control for a 30hp evinrude 1990 model
similar to the one shown below but can seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I could get one online, none of them look like it.
I have sourced a 703 Premium Side Control Designed for electric-start Yamaha outboards, with a forward/reverse lever and a convenient fast-idle lever for quick warm-up, but dont know if the cables and electrics will fit? Does anyone know? See the link below to the 703 Premium Side Control

On a completely different note shhould your engines tell tales always run cold?

you need a universal control, that is compatible with evinrude, you also need the evinrude wiring harness, and throttle,shift cables. this items are brand specific.
