Swapping out guages?

So, I'm swapping out gauges on my cruiser. It suggests I disconnect the battery before doing this process. I have a 4 battery bank. Do I disconnect all of them? Flip the perco switch? Any thoughts?

Scott, that's a really hard question to answer without seeing how your boat is wired. We could tell you how we'd do it on our boats or in theory and be totally wrong. If you have 4 batteries all wired in parallel my guess would be to put your Perko switch in the Off position and then test with a multi-meter. If you still have power and you can't physically see which lead is providing power from the battery bank then your only recourse is to disconnect all the cables from all the batteries.
