$1500 is a bit pricey, but swimplatforms.com builds very high quality factory look platforms. Highly recommend.

I like the 1" plywood idea!
anybody have any pics of how they mounted their swim platform?
I only paid $2000 for it and since then I replaced the deck and transom don't want a swim platform to cost almost as much as the boat did!

One of the SunRunner owners did his swim platform in plywood and finished it with just spar varnish. I believe he used 3/4" and build up the edge and gusset mounts to 1.5". With rub rail on the edges, it's a good looking platform for the money.
