switch LHR to RHR MOTOR

i have a standard rotation gm350/515hp. with less than 30 hrs. it needs to be switched to right hand rotation for a penn yan that has right hand running gear.
can this be done? has anyone done it? i know i have to change the cam, distributor, front and rear main seals,timing chain to gears,rotate pistons 180,starter,oil pump,and water pump....did i miss anything????
you cannot just put a standard rotation in as the running gear is offset and the boat will not handle correctly. this will be done a little at at time as money becomes available. i can probably get 2 more seasons out of my motor now, so there is no rush to build.

Ayuh,.... At 515hp,.. That's Not a boat motor....

You'll do better to Sell it,+ buy what you Need....

Btw,..... You Have a Lefthanded motor,+ you Need a Righthanded motor....

I'm not 100% sure but something you didn't mention would be the crank itself, there are oilers cut into the journal that the rear main seal rides on, they are cut at an angle to retain oil to keep the seal lubed, the angles are opposite between right and left rotation.
It's for sure on the 427Fords as they caution if swapping left for right rotating crank, you'll have the rear main seal oil leak blues.

like bondo said, its easier to just sell it and buy the correct motor, or if it is still that new maybe return it to the dealer and see if they will sell you the correct one with a trade off... kinda like trading in a car...

Is it a straight inboard? You could buy A left hand prop and have the tranny adjusted to run LH.
