I have a 2000 Harriskayot Deckboat with a 305 EFI engine and a Bravo 3 outdrive. I have been looking to replace the up/down - trailer switch on the throttle/ shifter arm. I have found dozens but, I'm not sure which one is the replacement for my boat. The engine serial number is: 0L685189. The transom serial no. is : 0L865421. The drive serial number is: 0L772521. Does anyone out there know where I can get the right switch number with this information? Thanks

Item number 4 is for stern drives, item # 3 is for outboards.

Notes for Part Number 18286T34
(All Mercruiser Models)
This part has been superceded from part number 18286A33
Superceded parts are the latest functional replacements for the original part, however there may be a differance in appearance or specifications

Some visuals for you here,

I just replaced both solenoids, so the wires are not the problem. Trailer works fine as well as down button after replacing the solenoids.

I checked with one supplier on Amazon (theropshop) and they have about 2 dozen numbers. They couldn't tell me which one was right. The picture they have for all of their numbers is same. Not sure if the length has anything to do with the different numbers. Thanks for the info.

Is the "Trim Up limit" (top switch of the throttle handle) not working. I.e. Trailer up works but not trim up??

Yes. The solenoids were sticking also, so I replaced them and still had nothing on the trim up button. That's why I want to replace the switch. I just ordered one with the numbers I got from you.

If the Trim Up limit isn't working then that should be an indication that the trim limit switch mounted outside of the boat isn't working right....Item number 6, https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bam/subassembly/30967/1943/170

These 2 switch's controls/works with each other for the trim up limit system.

That may be. I have had this not working for a long time. I just used my trailer button to raise the outdrive. Hopefully the new switch works. It looks pretty expensive to replace the trim limit switches.

Easy test for the trim limit switch is to make a very short jumper wire (3cm is plenty) and bridge out the connections. If the TRIM UP switch starts working properly, you have a bad trim limit switch, and a new switch in the handle ain't gunna fix it!

Thanks. I'll try this. Looks easy enough. After looking on Amazon for trim limit switches, I noticed they are not as expensive as I thought. I'll reply back once I do this check. Thanks again.

Trim limit switches aren't expensive, they're just a pain to install.
