switching carburators

I have a pre1997 Honda Bf75, 7.5 hp engine. The stock carb is a 16100-881-741. Can I use a similar carb instead of the original?

If it works it works, are you looking for a recommendation on a specific replacement? Is the OEM carb proving difficult to source?

There seems to be a number of them on eBay, some 3rd party and some used OEM. I would personally start with a used OEM carb and expect to have to really clean it (ultrasonic cleaner, etc..), but my personal limited experience with aftermarket carbs is they work, but the OEM one usually works better:
