Does anyone know what all will need to be done to switch these motors out? The Johnson throttle of the other boat is a side mount but i'm putting it on my center console, is there a way I can just switch the cable and use the same mount that's already on the center console?

I haven't been involved with remotes in many years but they used to be adaptable to different mounting setups.I did notice the 150 is over 150 lbs heavier than the 75.Is the boat equipped for that weight? Are the shaft lengths the same? You may want post this in the Evinrude Johnson forum as well.

OMC used to use completely different cable ends than Merc or Force. I'm not too sure about the newer Force engines so you will need to check the ends inside the engine hood. If they look different, you will have no choice but to use the OMC control box and cables. I am also reasonably certain that the ignition switch is different also so it is probably a given that you will also need to swap out the wiring harness.

75 to 150, huh? You will definitely notice the performance difference but don't expect twice the speed. Because horsepower need usually increases by the square while speed increases linearly, generally speaking it takes 4 times the horsepower to double the speed. This is, of course, not a hard and fast rule though.

The boat is a F19CCR Sundance and the max, the shafts are the same the only problem is getting everything rewired.
