switching to synthetic oil

I have a new yamaha 150 4stroke with 1 hour on it. I want to switch to synthetic oil and want<br />to know if the proper time is at the first service.(10 hours) Also if using a synthetic would it still <br />be necessary to use ring free in the fuel?

Personally, I would ring up the dealer and get his advice. After all, if something happens, he's the one ya got to deal with. Barring that, I would at least wait till it's broke in and then switch. There's so many different debates on synthetic oil here, that I would have to defer to the dealers advice for your particular motor..
