The retainining ring just below the bottom yoke of the steering assembly on my '93 90hp mariner dropped down\fell off the other day. Does the power head have to come off to repair this or can I just knock iot back up in there. The mechanic who admits that he's never done one before wants $775 plus parts. I think this is a little steep for an inexperienced mechanic to be able to qoute so easily. Thanks
