Swivel Seats or Bench Seat

I will soon own a BW 18' Outrage. This is a 1985 boat with swivel seats. I would like to replace with bench seat. Can that be done and where would I purchase this item?

What kind of bench seats? Are you talking about back-to-back seats?

Can you post some pics of the boat and interior? It really helps to see what you have to deal with.

Wise is a brand that offers basic inexpensive seating in the lounge, bench and pedistal seating.

This is available right in the mega mall: Is this what you had in mind?

It's the type of bench seat that you can use the bottom part as storage or cas a cooler and the back rest can also be used as a leaning post. The back rest allows you to face forward and sit or flip the back rest and you can sit down while you fish off the back. Make sense?

Sounds like the "back-to-back" seats that Kevin mentioned.

They're also available in the mega-mall - expect to pay between $200 and $300 for each. I don't know what part of Florida you're in, but shipping might add considerably to the cost, in which case you might want to look locally. These same seats are available through most other marine and sporting goods retailers.

It sounds like you are talking about the seat most commonly seen in center console boats. The base is storage/cooler/livewell/whatever, and the backrest is basically on a pivot that allows you to sit in either direction depending on whether you have the backrest pivotted forward or backwards. You can get them ready to go as is. Good luck....

Todd, make several sizes, and are good quality, i have a new center console being delivered today. there are several swing backs that the seat is a cooler also.

What part of Florida are you in? Marine Surplus in Ft. Myers or Sarasota would have good prices on what you are looking for. Don's Salvage in St. Petersburg may have some used ones pretty cheap too. I bought a used one from Don's that was in like-new condition for $100 a few years ago. The base was built out of plastic too, not wood.

Then again, if you put in the swivel seats, you can get those at Walmart.
