I have a 4.3GLPWTR and SX-M 1.79 in a Four Winns 170 Horizon. I have researched the official Volvo Penta store and the only thing I seem to miss is the horizontal driveshaft with gimbal bearing and u-joints. Not sure if I am dense or if its not there.
Another related question is where can I buy some OEM service literature. I have a Clymers which came with the boat but while correct in describing engineering principles its about 50% correct when it comes to my actual engine and drive. Im willing to pay more for the OE lit but it does not appear on their website, just a purchasing cut sheet and a one page "maintenance items" with anodes and gear lube.
Thanks for your help. Just a note about me, my username is sort of a joke. While "saline" usually means salt water, its the city I live near in Michigan. I live amongst cornfields fairly far from the water and no actual marinas for around 30 miles from here. While the boat is the latest acquisition, I also have a fleet of other internal combustion doodads to include cars, trucks, forklifts and tractors. So the Saline Marina is in fact me and my one boat
