Gotta be painful for Texans to keep reading about other people getting too much rain.

!!!!!!!!!!!! that is very true. We got rain a few weeks ago but it did almost nothing for the drought. I am not complaining it was welcome, Just not enough to last our livestock through the winter. Send all that you dont want our way. We are not inches behing average rainfall, we are FEET behind! Its a pretty sad sight.

Look at the bright side, you still live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. The boats should have not sunk to begin with if properly set-up. So its not your fault.

Scalper!! Gas drillers here are only paying $0.10 a barrel. A barrel is about 40gal.

Hmmmmm. The Hideout fishing hole holds about 60,000bbl. At $0.03/gal that would come to $72,000 per fill instead of $6,000.

It takes about 5" of hard rain to produce 60,000bbl of runoff into the fishing hole.

I guess that could give you an idea of what rain is worth around here.:(

Re: sympathy please!

Thanks guys! Be glad to send you all some of the wet stuff, all got a bit dramatic here, too much rain in too little time.We had submerged boats heading out to sea after breaking mooring lines, should be good for trolling around a week from now:) automatic bilge pumps are actually a requirement in our marina, here in Italy 'rules' are not taken terribly seriously, hence the problems when we have a deluge. Rant aside, we did actually have two deaths within 5 miles from here, im lucky to only have lost a client's boat to the floods...
