Yeah, you should use dieletric grease designed for spark plug wire connections. That'll prevent arcing too. BTW, I've been lit up before too by pulling plug wires with "insulated" pliers. I was thinking the next time I try that stunt I'll be wearing my rubber gloves. That's what the guys at the electric company use, only their's are about up to their armpits.

i have a 1998 ocean pro 200 eevinrude and im experiencing some of the same problems i have the extra kick when i can get it running fast,without having to pump ball my ,i swear it fells like a fuel restriction thing -or AIR
