synthetic oil question

Can synthetic and Reg TCW-3 oil be mixed or should I drain out or use up theTCW-3 Reg oil first ? 1991 40hp evenrude with VRO system.<br /><br /> Thanks for the info.<br /><br /> Tom H :confused:

When I changed mine over, I removed the main oil resevior and dumped out as much as I could, the I sucked out as much as I could from the tank under the cowling with a turkey baster. I then refilled them with the oil of my choice and off I went. If you do not want to go through all of this, you most certainly can mix the two unless you have some exotic oil that I havnt heard of. In that case it probably would say "NOT TO MIX" somewhere on the bottle.

My local walmaart is selling it for $19 a gal. Bought a gal. but haven't tried it yet.
