Re: Synthetics, another look
Your are really getting on my nerves Forktail, Im perfectly willing to say that the Cam II oil looks like a great oil. You seem to not want to acknowledge that I also recomend other oils too. If I had known about the Cam II I might have even recomended it also. Yes, I do know how the groups of oils are clasified! Ive been all over this subject befor on this forum, where were you then?? Quit treating me like an idiot, and I will start treating you with respect also!

"Premium petroleum based group III's are so highly refined today, that they begin meeting the same base stock interchangability criteria (of saturates, sulfur, viscosity) as group IV PAO's. That's why some are classified as "synthetic". So the only thing that technically separates a group III from a group IV is how the base stock is refined."

So, a group IV or V is still a better Base stock than a III! And I never said that a group III Base stock was a bad oil.

I never said there wernt any 2 cycle outboard oils that were group IVs other than Amsoil, I only said I didnt know of any.

Also I am perfectly aware of the different oils for different 2 Cycle applications, Thats why Amsoil has seen fit,(not that they are the only ones) to make four different 2 cycle oils!

Picky, Picky, Picky, Get the He*L off my back!!! Ill answer no more of your posts! All you seem to want to do is in some way show the world you know more about oil than someone else. Thats not what we are here for!
