T-Connector Between Block & Knock Sensor?

I'm wondering what the opinion, or fact, is when it comes to adding a brass t-connector between the block and the Knock Sensor. I have read some opinions that there should be nothing between the block and the Knock Sensor. I want to add something with a petcock on it for easier draining but not sure if that hinders the Knock Sensor functionality. Any advice? Thanks from North Texas!

I don't see why not, some of the GXI small blocks have a T for that reason......probably because they can be difficult to get out without breaking sometimes, easier to remove a plug on the T than the sensor itself.....not sure how it will affect the frequency though, might require a different sensor.

as long as its metal, it will transmit sound. same principle as using a screw driver to your head to "hear" mechanical noises when troubleshooting.
