So I am about to go check out this T-Craft and the owner says it will turn over but does not start. I will be doing a compression test on a 4cyl gm motor, just to make sure it has good compression. It sounds to me like its more of a fuel problem. What other things could I check that could be causing the motor to not start completely?

Here is the listing to the ad on CL.

Sounds to me more like points ( if it has em.). Pull the center wire of the dist and hold near bare metal on block. Crank er over and see if you get a spark. If no spark drop the offer $500 and say you will " take a chance" LOL. It is either points or coil. Seriously once you strike a price hire a boat servayer to go over her stem to stern (couple of hundred) make it contingent, will save you in the long run.
