t-stat mods

i have been on here talking and bleave im going to put a set of 1987 2.7 heads on my 1990 200gt to up the compression hope to get little more power they said i would need to mod, the t-stats what do i need to do what mods, will need to be done also is this my best choice with the 2.7 heads im having trubble finding any but tring to get em soon

You can use the t-stats as they are or change the system to the 93 & newer style. You'll have to use at least 93 octane too. Not sure how the ethanol will affect things though. You'll need to be running a hull that responds to small torque increases. If you're running something that has a lot of drag and your rpm isn't well over 6000 it may not help. Might hurt.
