t/t tabs

I need what I call the trim tabs that the pistons from the t/t push on where they meet the mounting bracket. 1978 85hp Evinrude. They look like a flat piece of metal with threads and go in the mounting bracket holes when the manual piston is removed for a t/t unit. Can't find them on any diagrams. Also wondering if I can just use a piece of steel and weld threads to it and use that? Thanks.

I believe they are thrust pads.--------Item # 69-----321499 and they are proud of them.

Thanks! The last time I needed some the late gentleman Joe Reeves had some and sent them to me. I remember they weren't cheap at all. You can buy platinum cheaper.

If you could walk over to pick them up they are $ 5 each.

I don't think I can walk that far. There has to be a better way.
