Where would be a good place to look for a trim and tilt for a 1977 mercury 50 hp? I have checked the local kijiji and all of the old boat yards I could find within 100 km. Is there any other options? I really don't want to buy from ebay as there is no way of making sure it is 1 right and 2 works fine.

Call around to marinas sometimes they can point you in the right direction or even have old ones on hand

Would there be new ones online or would that be too old for there to be any?

Extremely unlikely you will find a new one.
Used ones do turn up once in a while.

Not sure but I know around cornwall Ontario a marina can get me almost any part I need

Pirate cove marina in kemptville as well as Hurst marina in that area but there should be enough boat yards in Kingston that I'm surprised you need to come all the way down here also try long sault marina the owner is a tinkerer and has all kinds of junk

I have not tried Marinas in Kingston yet, but as for used boat yards there is only about 4 in kingston and 1 in desoronto.
