Does anyone know what chrysler t2938-1 test light is or looks like. Tryin to time a 1969 45hp but it says u need that test light. Not sure if it is just a normal test light or somethin like a powerprobethat connects to power. Any info helps thanks
T2938-1 is a test light powered from a battery. There is a T2951 too which was a test light with out a battery.
This test tools was just a circuit tester and not a timing light.
You can use a VOM instead of these test tools. Set it at resistance measure when the points open.
Best is to use a timing light like jerryjerry suggest and set the spark advance to 30dgr at WOT.
You set the points with a feeler gauge to 020 if you have magneto ignition and 015 if you have battery ignition.
