Tach for 55hp Johnson?

I have two 1978 55hp Johnsons on the back of my Starcraft V5. One seems to be idling quite a bit under the other, and I'd like to be able to sync the motors, but I don't have a tach installed on either. How hard is it to install, where can I get one, and which one do I need?

don't know about the '78 model but I know the '79 was a straight out plug in thing, easy as pie to do, it was the same tach that was used for a lot of models for mnay years.
