Tach not working

Hello to everyone,
The tachometer on my 92 force 150 hp quit working and I was wondering what are some things to check that could cause that? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Tachs usually have 3 connections, + and - 12VDC and a signal from the stator. They also usually zero when power is applied, engine not running.

So make sure they have voltage and ground, and the connection to the stator is good. If they are, chances are the tach is bad.
