tach on manual start?

will a universal outboard tach work on a manual start yamaha 30 horse?...2001 I have read the aplication charts for them but they dont specify manual or electric start. Thanks

Universal outboard tach?<br />It should if the engine is set up to accept it.<br /><br />Let us see how long it takes J.B to move this...
