Wired up a tach for my 150hp Johnson. All seems to work the way it is supposed to except as I throttle up it pegs the needle. It seems as though the range is out similar to a volt meeter when its on the wrong scale. I checked the selector setting on the back and it is set for 6c which I believe is correct. I have the original harness in the boat from a 1974 115 Evinrude and am now running a 1995 150 Johnson. Tach was never hooked up on the 115. I am getting the signal from the gray wire running from the motor harness to the control panel.<br />Is there a resistor or somthing I may need to install?. Thanks for any feedback..<br /><br />PST
