tach wire

I'm stumped. I have a 1988 Mercury 70ETPTO, serial number- B378723. I bought it used from a repair shop. (Since gone out of business). I was<br />told by the dealer, that this was a commerical engine. Anyway, the wiring doesn't match wiring<br />diagrams in repair manuals. I'm trying to hook up a tach. Does anyone know what color wire I need to use off of the engine???? Dewey
