my tach stop workingover the wekend where should i start looking , no blown fuses

check for + 12v to the tach (maybe loose connection)
check for connection to your coil (if connection is lost, tach will not work)
check back of tach, sometimes a selector for different # of cylinders, turn it to a different number, see if it works, if so, try switching back and see if that helped the connection.
check the tach itself - may be easier to just buy a new on e and replace it.

What kind of engine? Many Force engines have the tach signal wire attached to the rectifier or regulator. Check the output of the rectifier/regulator an dsee if it is 13 to 16 VDC when running at Fast idle.
If not, check the two wires coming from the stator. If you get 18 to 20 volts AC from the stator, change the rectifier/regulator.
