Where is a good place to find a tach for a two cycle. Will a tach for a car wok and if so how do you wire it up. I know one wire is battery power, one is for the light in the tach, one is the ground but where would the other wire go. Dose it go to the coils.

I believe you need a tach.designed for a 2 cycle. Tiny tach has a web site. About 40 dollars.

you can get a tach from any boat store.most are for almost any motor.just look for your motor on the back of the package.the wires that hookup to it are in your control box.you need a power that comes on when the key is turned on,a ground,a wire coming from your light switch to the light post,the final wire that is marked sender is the gray wire in your control box(usually gray).thats it. your charging system has to be working for your tach to work
