There's a tach on my boat, but I think that it's wrong. I hooked up a car tachometer that reads for 6cyl and 8cyl engines. My question is: Will I get the right RPM's from the car tach if I take the reading from the 6 cyl gage and divide it by 2. It makes sense to me. It was reading 8000 RPM at WOT, but my engine isn't running quite right, so 4000 RPM seems about right for WOT. Thanks for any input. <br /><br />Ice
