Tachometer for a mercury force hp motor on my bayliner capri ls

I am in the process of upgrading me gauges on my Bayliner and wanted to know what brand or spec I need to know before I purchase the gauges. I know the fuel,speedometer & volt are all universal, but I have to get the correct tach for my motor which is a force by mercury hp. Forgot it's a 1996 motor.

You need a 12 pole tach for outboards.

Always add the HP.Serial#s Or model#.
The older Forces used a 20 pole.
The new a 12 .
Teleflex or Faria can tell you what you need.
Just have the info.HP,year,serial#
