Sorry to ask a trivial question guys, but I've spent an hour in the forum search function and my OEM manual to no avail. 2001 Johnson 50 with 12 amp charging system...what setting should my Faria tach be on? I just finished my repower and am reading 2000 rpm at idle when obvious not. Think I might have moved it during install (I hope). Thanks as always.

Re: Tachometer Setting

If that tachometer has a dial setting on the back of it, the usual setting is number six (6).

I'm not familiar with that tach but if it has two 6s on it, you want 6P.

Re: Tachometer Setting

Thanks guys. This is the tach that has the multiple system check alarms at the bottom of it. Plugs right into the OMC harness (8 pin).
