Need wiring schematic for 86 Seville or someone that knows where the tach. connects to the motor of a 170 Mercursier. thanks bill

Ayuh,... The tach gets it's signal from the (-) side of the coil...

Thanks Bond-o, I remembered that late last night. traced the wire with my meter from the coil. checked to make sure I had voltage and a good ground. Still didn't work. So time to go to the store and see what iboats have to offer.
