Re: Take a Penny, Leave a Penny

I think pennies will be phased out of circulation soon being they are so disregarded by the users recently. During exam weeks at the Academy, students toss pennies into Aphrodites Fountain for luck. Must be several thousand in there every year. I don't advise attempting to retrieve these coins without consequences. ;)

The con-stores down here learn not to have those change trays.
Especially when the weather gets cold.
That is when the stinky, foul smelling, sympathetically clothed pro-panhandlers start migrating south.
Then they come in and help themselves to several pieces of silver in the trays for their one can of Colt-45 at 6am.

You've got to be kidding.
Better yet, why don't you just stand outside that conv. store with a cup.

Re: Take a Penny, Leave a Penny

I have no problem helping myself to the silver. I picked up 85 cents this morning, two quarters, three dimes and a nickle. I figure if someone cares so little about their money that they are willing to throw it away, why shouldn't I benefit? What do you think?

Um, um, um. Really? You must be so proud. You STOLE money that other people have DONATED and you brag about it. That money was PLACED there by others to help those in need of a few cents, not for you to fill your pockets. It was not thrown away. Where would you draw the line? Stealing the donation jars next? After all, it's only change

What do I think? Despicable and sad.
