Taking boat from Belmar NJ to Manhattan, any new hazzards since Sandy

Next week I'll be taking my boat to Manhattan from Belmar NJ, we will be a support boat for the NYC Seapaddle for charity. I have made this trip many times before, but am looking for a little local knowledge before I go. Are there any additional hazzards I should look out for since Hurricane Sandy? I was thinking about heading across from Sandy Hook towards Coney Island, then work my way up from there. Any help would be great. Thanks, Mike

I am not there any more, but I grew up on Sandy Hook bay, and know your route well, I still have a lot of connections there. I have not heard of any concerns. ( Up the Shrewsbury & Navesink Rivers are a different situation.

True, I only draft 3' so on my route no channels necessary, but back there is a different story. Thanks, Mike
