Well attached is a photo of my boat, 15 ft 1974 chrysler.
The thing that I dont know about is this old boat is in very
rugged condition and will need alot of work but hey thats whats memories
are made of.

But I dont know if this is needed or not but do I need bilge pumps for this thing ? I have the floor out and have not come across any pieces of mechanical gear that could be considered a bilge pump. I just wanted to know am i supposed to have one or 2 in this small kind boat or not?

I have come across many items in this place but this project is a great what to do tutorial.

http://www.shareaproject.com/pages/projectTut,p,346,00.html

I am looking to possible rip the engine off this boat and take the top off to repair it as pictured in the tutorial i posted the link on.

is said removal of the engine a pain to do and second costly to reinstall since i havent the faintest idea of how to put it back on and reinstall it steering and all.

i promiss more stupid questions later lol !!!

Your photo didn't post.

Imagine the engine won't start and its raining heavy, how ya gonna get the water out? Just hit the bilge pump switch.!

I have a chrysler commander, 20' center console, 1974 and it was rotted out.
I left the cap on, cut around the deck and pulled it out, recored deck, poured a seacast transom and redid the stringers, Just painted the deck today. You learn as you go, get the factory manual for your engine, whatever it is.

I got an engine hoist off craigslist for $120 plus engine stand for $20.
It cost me $37 to rent a hoist the last time.
I didn't know much except glasswork when I got the boat last yr.

Take photos before you gut it out, you'll need reference.
Take measurements and make sketches for yourself.
